ALASKA WELS WOMEN’S RETREAT
FAIRBANKS, ALASKA | SEPTEMBER 27-29th 2019
The hens are flying north to Alaska this fall! We are calling women of faith to gather together around God’s Word and his beautiful creation in Fairbanks from September 27-29th. The retreat is hosted by Light of the World Lutheran Church and they are praying you can stay the whole weekend, relax/sightsee on Saturday, and join worship on Sunday! We know the distance can be incredibly far even if you live in Alaska, but time invested with women that believe the same thing is worth every minute. It is our aim to strengthen your friendships so that when you go home you know that you are not alone and have another sister to point you to Jesus. You see, when we get together we don’t just share small talk, we get to the meat of God’s Word where the Holy Spirit works on our hearts and impacts lives eternally.

RETREAT THEME
The retreat theme is Women of All Seasons Unite: Spur One Another On! What are some barriers and solutions to fellowship between women? How can we serve God and others together?
Mel and I will be speaking on a variety of topics to unite women of faith including: How to Find and Be a Mentor, Fan Your Flame, and Spur One Another On! I am also happy to add that I will be playing music and leading women in song throughout the retreat.
“Women need other women. We mentor each other, challenge each other, relate to each other, and pray for each other. If women focus on Christ’s love, we judge less, support more, and model Christ’s love for each other.”

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

REGISTRATION is all set up, too! Ticket deadline is September 15th.
Invite others using the Facebook event page and share with family and friends! We try to cover all of the bases when it comes to Christian women: in their 20s, single, married without children, mothers of littles, empty-nesters, etc. We are confident women in all places of life will find enjoyment in the retreat!
